Curbishley, Walsh and more confirmed for anniversary dinner

Colin Walsh, who scored the historic goal on Charlton’s return to The Valley, is among the guests confirmed for the '30 Years Back at The Valley' anniversary dinner.

The first set of legends attending have been announced with other heroes from 1992 set to be at the dinner on Thursday, December 1st.

Other confirmed attendees from the side that famously beat Portsmouth 1-0 on December 5th, 1992 include:

  • Captain Simon Webster
  • Joint Manager Steve Gritt
  • Bob Bolder
  • Garry Nelson

As well as Gritt, then-Joint Manager Alan Curbishley is set to attend the dinner. Further club legends from throughout the last 30 years are also set to be in attendance and will be announced in due course.

With this year also marking 30 years of community work at Charlton Athletic, the dinner - as with all 30th anniversary events - will be raising funds for the Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) with 25% of the proceeds from the evening, together with the monies raised at the special auction taking place at the dinner, going to support the award-winning work of CACT. 

Tickets, which include a three-course meal and a bottle of wine for the table, begin at £80 +VAT per person, with tables starting at £800 +VAT.
