Egbo on Man United clash: "The fans deserve it"

Mandela Egbo claps supporters

Mandela Egbo is looking forward to watching his teammates step out at Old Trafford on Tuesday against Manchester United in a Carabao Cup quarter-final.

The popular full-back, who is currently on the sidelines with a quad injury, will be part of the club’s largest away following in more than 20 years on Tuesday, supporting his teammates.

Speaking on CharltonTV, he said: “We should absolutely be dreaming. When you step over the line as players, you don’t go out thinking you're going to lose – it doesn’t matter who you're up against. I’ll leave that down to the lads on the pitch but I’m sure they’ll believe in themselves and believe they can get a win. I think we should dream because why not?

“I’m looking forward to the day out as I'm sure many of the fans are. It’s going to be a good day out. We deserve it and the fans deserve it for what they have been through the last 10 years. It’s going to be a lovely day out and hopefully we can get a result as well, but whatever happens I’m sure we’ll enjoy it.”

After selling out the initial allocation, only a few tickets remain. Tickets can be purchased online here.
