George Dobson has been named your October Player of the Month, presented by Castore.

The 25-year-old was an ever-present in Ben Garner's midfield across the month, starting all seven league matches.

He provided the assist for Miles Leaburn's opener in the Addicks' 4-2 win over Exeter City before bagging a goal of his own in an incredible 4-4 draw with high-flying Ipswich Town, heading home a 99th-minute leveller to complete Charlton's comeback.

Dobson has won the most tackles in the division (58) across the season so far and he currently averages 3.7 successful tackles per match, which is 1.9 above the League One average.

Speaking after collecting his award at Sparrows Lane, the midfielder said: "I felt like it was a good month for me personally and I'd like to thank all of the fans who voted for me.

"We had some really good team performances during October - the win against Portsmouth was the standout for us. It was also great to end the month by scoring that goal against Ipswich in front of the Covered End. That day really showed just how important your support is."

Scott Fraser finished second with 13 per cent, while Jes Rak-Sakyi was third with five per cent.

The Addicks host Cheltenham on Friday, December 2nd at The Valley. To celebrate 30 years since the club's return to The Valley, tickets cost £19.92 and £7 for students and U18s. Click here to purchase your tickets.
