Academy Manager Greg Miller will join the Charlton Athletic Supporters’ Trust (CAST) for a Q&A session from 7.30pm on Thursday, May 14th.
Miller will be joined by the club's Head of Education Joe Francis, who has worked within the academy for over a decade. U18s midfielder Ed Thomas is also set to join ahead of the young Addicks' play-off final in SE7 on Friday.
The meeting, which is open to all CAST members, will include the following points of discussion:
- How the academy works
- What is the secret of its amazing success?
- What are the challenges?
- Is Category One status still a possibility?
- How do we prevent good young players from being poached?
- What does Championship status mean for the academy?
- How is football progress balanced with academic work?
