Holden praises goalscorer Camará

Pan Camará on the ball

Dean Holden praised new signing Panutche Camará for an impressive opening 45 minutes to his Charlton career.

Camará signed for the Addicks on Tuesday and played the first half of the Addicks’ 5-0 win at Wealdstone, scoring Charlton’s second goal.

Speaking to CharltonTV after the game, Holden said: “Panutche has shown what a good player he can be. In the first 45 minutes he showed so many good signs. We already knew that when he lands on the ball and wriggles out of trouble, he can get you up the pitch really quickly. He had a hand in all three [first half] goals.

“He showed his class with his first touch on the edge of our box he brought it down and showed composure. He’s such an athletic player, he’s defensively good as well. He’s an exciting player, you just love watching him play don’t you! He plays with a smile on his face and he empowers the players around him to go and be at their best as well.”
