Dean Holden is looking for his side to return to winning ways on Tuesday against Forest Green Rovers.

Under Holden the Addicks have twice followed defeats with victories and the Charlton Manager will be hoping for more of the same on Tuesday.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Monday, Holden said: “We’re constantly reinforcing that we need to improve. If we’d have won on Saturday, we’d still be reinforcing that we need to keep improving because we are nowhere near, as a club, or a team on the pitch, where we want to get to.

“We’re constantly raising standards and constantly wanting to improve things. Irrespective of what happened Saturday, we have to move forward quickly and go there with a fresh mindset. It's a quick turnaround in games but we’ll be ready for it.”

Duncan Ferguson was appointed as Forest Green’s Manager towards the end of January.

“With Duncan in charge, I think we know his personality,” Holden said. “I loved it when he was at Everton, the inspiration he brought at that time when the club was in a dark place. He’s got a huge personality, it’s great to see him back in the game.

“Tuesday’s game is a big challenge. Does it really matter that they are bottom of the league or fifth? No it doesn’t in this division. You’ve got to turn up with your mindset right. We’ve just got there and make sure we are up for the next challenge. It will be a good game for us.”
