INTERNATIONAL WATCH | Coventry, Kanu and Dixon in action

-

Conor Coventry, Kaheim Dixon and Daniel Kanu have all been in recent international action as Addicks players continue to add to their haul of caps for their countries.

Coventry earned his third cap for the Republic of Ireland as he started in their 1-1 friendly draw with Canada in Montreal on Saturday.

The Charlton midfielder completed 88 minutes as Chiedozie Ogbene’s second-half strike cancelled out a Jake O’Brien 28th-minute own-goal to ensure a draw against the FIFA World Cup co-hosts.

Kanu earned another two caps for Sierra Leone as his country played a friendly double-header against Liberia.

The Addicks academy graduate completed all 90 minutes of his country’s 1-0 victory on Saturday and scored his second international goal in the return fixture on Tuesday evening, coming on as a late substitute as Liberia recorded a 3-1 win.

Elsewhere, Dixon appeared for Jamaica as they shared a 1-1 draw with South Africa in a behind-closed-doors friendly in Pahuca, Mexico on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Scotland's World Cup preparations continued with a 4-0 victory over Bolivia on Saturday, with Lyndon Dykes an unused sub.

Steve Clarke's side were due to take on Norway in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Monday which was then cancelled, so Scotland and Dykes will now be fully-focused on their World Cup opener against Haiti in the early hours of Sunday morning (2am BST).
