Charlton Athletic legends Johnnie Jackson and Len Glover were formally inducted into the club's Hall of Fame during a memorable evening at the Charlton Athletic Museum.

The duo were voted into the Hall of Fame by supporters as part of the 1951-85 and post-1986 categories, alongside Alfred ‘Scotty’ Kingsley, who has been inducted via the pre-1950s category, and Casey Stoney MBE as this year’s women’s inductee.

Jackson and Glover were both present on the evening to see their names unveiled on the Hall of Fame board situated at the Museum, while sharing their memories with assembled guests, which included Addicks boss Nathan Jones and previous Hall of Famer Keith Peacock.

Fans' Forum representative and Museum Trustee Ian Wallis gave a presentation on the life and career of Kingsley, who played a key factor in the early days of the club and passed away in 1967, while Stoney, a Women’s FA Cup winner with the club in 2005, sent her apologies due to her commitments in Canada where she now serves as Manager of the women’s national team.

Speaking after receiving his recognition, Jackson said: "It’s an absolute honour. To be one of 42 players out of more than 1,000 that have played for Charlton to be included in the Hall of Fame is a real privilege. It’s nice to have left an impression at a club that is really dear to my heart.

"When I walked in and saw my name on the board, it really hit me.

"It was great to meet Len and hear his stories from his era and what he went on to achieve. To hear how fondly he talks about the club is what it’s all about.

"When you come back and see so many people that remember you fondly, it brings it all back ad this is a club that I will always look out for."

Glover said: "It’s fantastic. I’ve really enjoyed the night and was quite touched. I’ve always remembered it as such a friendly club and it’s still the same today.

"It was particularly great catching up with Keith [Peacock] because we signed on the same day and did absolutely everything together."

Meanwhile, Norman Barker, affectionately known by many of his fellow fans as ‘Headphones Norm’, was presented with the Colin Cameron Supporter of the Year award for his unwavering and long-standing dedication in following the Addicks up and down the country.
