Charlie Kelman netted on his return to Nathan Jones’ side to help the Addicks to a 1-0 victory over Oxford United in the Sky Bet Championship.
The summer signing spent seven weeks on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury at the beginning of November.
Speaking to CharltonTV’s Charlotte Richardson immediately after the game, Kelman said: "It has been tough. I just felt like I was getting myself going and then I got injured and it got taken away from me like that.
"It's been a long seven weeks, I worked really hard for it and this is what happens!"
The forward was delighted to be back in the team, and to help them to a significant win in the Sky Bet Championship.
"I'm just buzzing to be back, it’s a really nice feeling!" he said in front of the Covered End.
"I was signed [to score goals] and I've been working very hard, and it paid off."
