Will Mannion expects a real challenge on Wednesday night when the Addicks travel to Teesside to face second-placed Middlesbrough.
The goalkeeper helped the Addicks earn a 12th clean sheet of the campaign during last weekend's 1-0 victory over Birmingham City in SE7.
"It was a great game and a really good team performance," Mannion said. "Defensively we were solid, and I felt we dominated most of the game as well. I think we had the better chances.
"The week before [against Wrexham] the performance was there and we were unlucky to lose by that one goal. It was about backing that performance up on Saturday and we did that.
"It's important now that we keep this momentum going."
Looking ahead to Wednesday's clash at the Riverside Stadium, the 27-year-old said: "It's going to be difficult game. There will be a lot of travelling this week. It's about doing everything right in terms of what we can control and making sure that's not an excuse to go into the games.
"It's going to be a tough test on Wednesday and a good game on Saturday."
The Addicks return to The Valley on Saturday, March 21st for the visit of Norwich City. Don't miss out, click here to purchase your tickets now!
