TEAM NEWS

The Addicks are back on the road this Sunday as they gear up to face table toppers Bristol City at Ashton Gate in the penultimate game of the 2022/23 campaign, KO 3 PM.

Karen Hills’ side will look to make it back-to-back wins after recording a comfortable 2-0 victory over Durham at The Valley last Sunday thanks to a first-half converted penalty from Melissa Johnson, and a smart left-foot finish from Angela Addison.

The Addicks currently sit fourth in the Barclays Women’s Championship table, a win over Bristol City could see them climb to third pending on results across the league.

THE OPPOSITION

Lauren Smith’s side heads into Sunday’s proceedings following an impressive 5-0 win against Sunderland last weekend, this win means the Robins have won five of their last seven games.

City's last home match ended in defeat when Sheffield United's Courtney Sweetman-Kirk scored the only goal of the afternoon, Bristol's aftenoon then worsened as Victoria Bruce was shown a straight red in the 51st minute.

Bristol City currently sit top of the Championship standings, four points clear of second-placed Birmingham and eight points ahead of Charlton.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The last time these two sides locked horns was in the Continental Cup group stages back in November 2022. Charlton secured an important win on that occasion, courtesy of a brace from Kiera Skeels.

The Robbins’ last victory over the Addicks was back in October 2022 when both Shania Hayles and Ffion Morgan added their names to the scoresheet in a 2-0 win at The Oakwood.
