The Addicks are back in action at The Valley on Friday, taking on Cheltenham Town in Sky Bet League One (7.45pm KO GMT).

Those unable to make it to SE7 can watch every kick live on CharltonTV, with Steve Brown and Radostin Kishishev set to join host Charlotte Richardson in the studio, presented by DNEL Ltd. Click here to purchase your match pass.

TEAM NEWS

Craig MacGillivray (concussion) could return to the Addicks’ matchday squad having resumed full training, while Garner confirmed Steven Sessegnon (hamstring) is also fit.

The boss revealed Terell Thomas (ankle) and Miles Leaburn (ankle) are both back running at Sparrows Lane, Conor McGrandles (ankle) is out of his protective boot and Eoghan O’Connell (knee) is now on the bike having returned his crutches.

Joe Wollacott (finger) and Mandela Egbo (quad) are also unavailable, as is Jayden Stockley who serves the second game of his three-match ban.

The visitors will be without Grant Horton (calf) and Will Ferry (back), while Dan Adshead (illness) will be assessed.

THE OPPOSITION

Cheltenham currently sit 18th in Sky Bet League One, four places and two points behind the Addicks.

Wade Elliott’s side travel to the capital in good form having followed up a hard-fought point at high-flying Ipswich Town with a home triumph over Wycombe Wanderers in their last league outing.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Charlton and Cheltenham have only met on three previous occasions with the Robins winning twice and the previous encounter resulting in a draw.

The last meeting between the two sides came in Gloucestershire in January 2022, when Chuks Aneke rescued a point for the Addicks, cancelling out Dan N’Lundulu’s first-half opener with a 94th-minute strike.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Alan Young will control proceedings on Friday. The official last refereed a Charlton fixture in May 2021 – a 1-1 draw at Accrington Stanley.

Young will be assisted by Nicholas Cooper and Stephen Finch, while Anthony Da Costa is the Fourth Official.
