The Addicks will take on Brighton & Hove Albion U21s, Gillingham and Colchester United in southern Group A of the Papa John's Trophy following Thursday morning's draw.
Ben Garner's side had already been paired with Colchester and Gillingham ahead of the regional draw which saw the category one academy sides enter the competition, with the Seagulls being pulled out of the hat to join them.
