Charlton

Karen Hills’ side will travel to Bramall Lane for their final Championship outing of 2023 taking on Sheffield United in the Barclays Women’s Championship (KO 2pm GMT).

The Addicks head into the league meeting off the back of an impressive display in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup as Charlton secured a 6-0 triumph on the south coast against Bournemouth. Karin Muya and Melissa Johnson both netted braces on the day, while Angela Addison and Carla Humphrey both etched their names onto the scoresheet.

Sheffield United

The Blades currently sit 8th in the league rankings - nine points behind the Addicks, picking up four wins, one draw and five losses so far.

Last weekend, Sheffield United tasted victory in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup with a 3-2 extra-time win on the road against Rugby Borough, with Izzy Goodwin netting a hat-trick on the day.

Head-to-Head

The two sides have locked horns on ten previous occasions, with the Addicks winning three, the Blades three and the remaining four encounters resulting in draws.

The pair previously clashed on the opening day of the 2023/24 season as the spoils were shared at The Valley. With an additional time strike from Rebecca Rayner cancelling out Kayleigh Green’s opener in the 15th minute.

Charlton were on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline in their last trip to Bramall Lane in February 2023 as a Georgia Walters strike just moments before the half-time interval separated the sides.
