Charlton Athletic Women are set to take on London City Lionesses this Sunday at 2pm in an exciting Women’s Championship clash at The Valley.
This fixture is a special one as Charlton Athletic proudly hosts their Her Game Too matchday, reaffirming the club’s commitment to making football a more inclusive and welcoming space for female fans.
Her Game Too is a movement dedicated to tackling sexism in football and ensuring women and girls feel supported in the sport at all levels. The club will be using this occasion to celebrate female involvement in football, both on and off the pitch.
The matchday experience kicks off early with the Bartrams fanzone opening at 12pm. Fans attending the game can take part in a range of activities, including:
Arts and crafts – with clapper, shaker, and crown-making stations, allowing younger fans to get creative before the game.
Friendship bracelets – The University of Greenwich will be in the fanzone with free friendship bracelets for the fans to take home!
Flags to take into the stands – Collect your flags from the fanzone prematch and take to your seat to add to the atmosphere as supporters get behind the team.
Her Game Too – The ambassador for Her Game Too will also be in the fanzone where fans can take pictures with their selfie board, collect some HGT freebies, and chat to them about the campaign.
The Charlton Athletic Her Game Too match days are supported by the Premier League Charitable Fund #PLFansFund.
