Six-year-old selected for CACT's Advanced Centre after attending Charlton Challenge sessions

Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) is pleased to announce that Freddie Galsworthy has been selected for the Advanced Centre after impressing coaches at Charlton Challenge sessions at Sidcup Leisure Centre.

The six-year-old, the first player to be selected from the venue,attended Charlton Challenge sessions for two years before impressing coaches with his outstanding ball control.

Freddie’s parents noticed a marked improvement in all aspects of his game, particularly control and shooting.

Karen, Freddie’s mother, said:

“To be offered a place at the Advanced Centre is such an amazing opportunity, we are very proud of Freddie as he has worked very hard.

“We have recommended Charlton Challenge to other parents and would do again.”

Bradley Marshall, CACT’s SE London Football & Sports Development Officer, said:

“Charlton Challenge is a great way for players to develop from beginners and for those who have aspirations to progress into our Advanced Centre which supports the club’s academy at Charlton Athletic Football Club.”
