U18 PREVIEW | Charlton v Hull City

'

Charlton’s U18s return to action this Saturday, facing Hull City in the Professional Development League play-off semi-final (KO 3pm BST).

The one-legged semi-final will take place at The Valley, on Saturday May 9th. If the fixture is level after 90 minutes, extra time will be played, before a penalty shootout if the scores remain level after 120 minutes.

The young Addicks are set to face the Tigers from the northern division in the play-off semi-final stage of the competition.

The winners of the tie will meet Wigan Athletic, who defeated Millwall in the other semi-final, in the Professional Development League play-off final.

Jason Pearce’s side finished top of the U18s Professional Development League 2 - South title with two games to spare. They ran out 1-0 victors away at Sheffield Wednesday in their final league fixture last weekend.

Hull, meanwhile, finished in second place in the northern division, five points behind winners Wigan. They were condemned to a 3-0 defeat at home to Brentford in their last fixture, putting an end to their 14-game unbeaten run.

Entry to the game in SE7 is free for all 2025/26 and 2026/27 season-ticket holders, as well as Valley Gold members. Tickets are otherwise priced at £3 for adults and £1 for concessions and can be purchased here.
