Charlton's U18s returned to winning ways on Saturday with an emphatic 5-0 victory over Sheffield United at Sparrows Lane.
Raynon Richman opened the scoring for the young Addicks on nine minutes with a very well-taken goal. Phoenix Valentine played an excellent ball over the top to Richman, who beat his defender and sent a curling shot beyond Dwayne Bernard and into the back of the net.
Not long after Kacper Podgorny doubled Charlton's lead with a stellar effort from the edge of the box.
Jason Pearce's side found themselves 3-0 up on 30 minutes, this time through Nehmani Burke who headed home Podgorny's cross at the back post.
Minutes into the second half, Podgorny got his second goal in spectacular style, sending a powerful strike into the top corner after being teed up by Richman.
Ellis McMillan rounded off the scoring for the young Addicks three minutes from time. McMillan's initial spot-kick was saved by Bernard, but the youngster was there to tuck home the rebound.
Jason Pearce's side are back in action on Saturday, April 4th when they take on QPR at the TSG Training Centre (KO 11am BST).
