Jason Pearce’s Addicks cruised to victory on the road against Huddersfield Town as his side recorded a comprehensive 4-0 triumph on Saturday afternoon.
There were four different scorers for the young Addicks on the day, with three coming ahead of the interval.
Our first of the afternoon came as Tate Elliott received the ball on the halfway line from Jack Belton, the defender drove forward, carrying the ball to the edge of the box, finding the back of the net with a powerful low strike.
Ed Thomas added a second shortly after, yet again with another emphatic attempt from distance. The midfielder stood over a free-kick around 30-yards out, curling a sensational effort into the upper 90.
A neat more from Pearce’s side saw the Addicks go three goals to the good on the stroke of the interval as Bradley Tagoe was threaded through down the wing. Tagoe homed in on goal, taking it past the Terriers’ full-back, firing a superb strike across the face of goal.
The scoring was wrapped up with 19 minutes left on the clock following another sensational passage of play, which saw Michael Mylona’s shot from distance sneak in at the near post.
Up next for the U18s is a home fixture against Hull City on Saturday, September 13th at Sparrows Lane (KO 11am BST).
