U21 PREVIEW | Charlton v Watford

'

Charlton's U21s return to action on Monday afternoon, taking on Watford at Sparrows Lane (KO 1.30pm GMT).

Chris Lock's side go into the Professional Development League 2 - South fixture on the back of a defeat on the road against Cardiff City last Tuesday. Patrick Casey pulled a goal back for the young Addicks 11 minutes from time, though it ultimately proved to be a consolation as the hosts ran out 2-1 victors.

The Hornets came from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw in their previous encounter against AFC Bournemouth, with Michael Adu-Poku bagging a brace in as many minutes.

Watford currently sit seventh in the league table, level on points with Charlton, who boast a superior goal difference and a game in hand.
