Charlton’s U21s got back on the winning trail on Monday afternoon, as they beat Coventry City 3-2 at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Ethan Brown and Jacob Safa had a great connection in the first half, with the latter opening the scoring on 31 minutes. Brown bombed down the right-hand side and got away from the Coventry defence before steering the ball towards the goal, where Safa was on hand to tuck it home.
10 minutes later, the roles reversed. Safa swung a corner into the box and Brown was there to head it home at the back post.
Kaheim Dixon then netted for the young Addicks just 10 minutes into the second half to give his side a three-goal cushion.
The Sky Blues pulled a goal back four minutes later through Josh Stidder.
Trialist A added the hosts' second three minutes from time to spark hopes of a comeback, but Chris Lock's side stood firm to secure all three points.
The U21s are next in action on Tuesday, March 31st when they host Peterborough United at Princes Park (KO 1pm BST).
