U23S PREVIEW | Charlton v Sheffield Wednesday

Olly Groome reports

Jason Euell's U23s will be hoping to tighten their grip on top spot in Professional Development League 2- South when they host Sheffield Wednesday at The Valley on Monday afternoon (2pm).

The Addicks are looking to get back to winning ways after four league and cup games without victory, but remain six points clear of Milwall at the top of the table, and nine points clear of Cardiff City in third. Three points this afternoon will move the development squad closer to securing their place in the end-of-season play-offs.

Meanwhile, Wednesday are sitting pretty themselves on top of the North league where their nearest rivals are nine points adrift.

Jason Pearce is expected to feature once again as he continues to step up his rehabilitation from injury and fans are welcome to attend the fixture in SE7.

Entry is free for season ticket holders and Valley Gold members, who will need to produce their cards at the turnstile. Tickets are otherwise priced at £3 adults, £2 concessions and £1 for under 16s.
