800 NOT OUT | Fan recognised for two decades of following Charlton

George Jones reports

Life-long Addick Olly Lewis was recognised for his incredible commitment to Charlton by being named as Supporter of the Year for 2016/17 on Sunday afternoon.

The Lewis family are well known to many fans and Olly has been in attendance in each of our last 800 matches, spanning right the way back into the 1990s.

Fans’ Forum representative Ian Wallis said: “The award has been running for the last seven years and it is presented to someone that has gone above and beyond the normal mania of being a Charlton supporter.

“Olly has seen in excess of 800 consecutive games – home and away, including pre-season games, overseas tours, the lot. That’s since the 1990s and I think it deserves a lot of recognition.”
