TEAM NEWS | Morgan set for first league start against Peterborough United

Academy starlet Albie Morgan will make his first league start for the club in tonight’s matchup against Peterborough United.

The 18-year-old is set to start in place of George Lapslie as the only change from the lineup that drew 1-1 at Accrington Stanley on Saturday.

Lee Bowyer is once again expected to play a 3-5-2 formation in front of Dillon Phillips. Krystian Bielik, Patrick Bauer and Naby Sarr will likely start in defence with Chris Solly and Lewis Page as wing backs. Joe Aribo, Darren Pratley and Morgan will cover the midfield with Karlan Grant and Lyle Taylor up front. The formation is easily switchable to Bowyer’s favourite diamond formation with Bielik able to move into defensive midfield and Morgan able to play at the top of the diamond.

Lapslie, who has started Charlton’s first three games, takes his place on the bench, with the rest of the bench unchanged from Saturday.

Charlton: Phillips; Bauer, Bielik, Sarr; Solly (C), Pratley, Morgan, Aribo, Page; Grant, Taylor

Substitutes: Steer, Dijksteel, Maloney, Marshall, Lapslie, Ajose, Hackett-Fairchild
