AWAY FANS' GUIDE | Fleetwood Town's Highbury Stadium

Heading to Fleetwood Town on Saturday? Here's everything you need to know about an away day at Highbury Stadium…

Saturday’s travelling Addicks will be housed in both seated and terrace accommodation. The seats are in the Parkside Stand, along the side of the pitch at the very far left of the stand as you face the playing area.

The terrace is behind the goal in the part of the ground named after Percy Ronson and both areas offer a good view of the action.

There’s plenty of choice in the town and as you would expect there are quite a few fish and chip shops and locally-run cafes near the ground. At the ground itself, Jim’s Sports Bar offers both food and drink. If you are traveling by car, there is also a Morrisons supermarket nearby.

The aforementioned Jim’s Sports Bar at the ground welcomes both home and away supporters and is a good place to get a pre-match pint. Similarly, there are some nice traditional pubs in Fleetwood, the Strawberry Gardens being a good pick, while The Thomas Drummond represents the local Wetherspoon. Blackpool is also nearby…

Highbury Stadium is a long way from The Valley – 266 miles in fact – and the post code is FY7 6TX

Fans driving should exit the M6 at Junction 32 and take the M55 towards Blackpool and then leave at Junction 3 to take the A585 towards Fleetwood. Having gone straight over a roundabout, take a left into Copse Road and, after passing Fleetwood Fire Station, take another left onto Radcliffe Road. Take the next right onto Stanley Road and the ground will be at the bottom of the road on your left. There is plenty of street parking available in the local area.

There is no train station in Fleetwood and the nearest station to the ground is Poulton-le-Fylde, which is just over five miles away and served by trains from Preston. It may be easier to aim for Blackpool North station, which is around seven miles away. A taxi from Blackpool North to Fleetwood will cost around £20. Alternatively buses 1 and 14 run from Blackpool to Fleetwood.

Around 300 Addicks had purchased tickets for the match by the time they went off sale from The Valley on Thursday afternoon.

Tickets will be available to buy on the day – they will not be subject to a price increase – and pricing information can be seen below.
