MATCH PREVIEW | Fleetwood Town v Charlton

Charlton get back on the road on Saturday afternoon as they head to Highbury Stadium to take on Fleetwood Town.

With just one win secured in the opening 10 games of the campaign, three points against the Cod Army will be targeted to ensure Nigel Adkins men go into the upcoming international break on steadier footing, with all eyes on beginning to climb the League One table going into October.

TEAM NEWS

Ryan Inniss (thigh), Ronnie Schwartz (calf) and Jake Forster-Caskey (ACL) are Charlton's only injury concerns with Adkins confirming on Thursday that he hoped Jonathan Leko would be involved despite limping out of the midweek defeat to Bolton Wanderers.

Fleetwood will be without Darnell Johnson and Brad Halliday who are both long-term absentees.

THE OPPOSITION

Fleetwood come into the game sitting just outside of the relegation zone in 20th position with 10 points from their nine games, so far this term.

Despite losing their first three league games, they have since gone unbeaten with four draws and two wins from their last six outings.

Having drawn their last three games, they have seen plenty of goals, sharing a 3-3 draw with MK Dons in midweek, coming off the back of a pair of 2-2 draws with Cambridge United and Sunderland.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Saturday will be the ninth meeting between the two sides with five of the previous eight encounters ending in draws, with the Addicks winning two and Fleetwood just the once since the clubs' first ever clash in 2016.

The last trip to Highbury Stadium ended in a share of the spoils with Jayden Stockley's early opener cancelled out by Paddy Madden's strike before half-time.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Oliver Langford will be the man in the middle on Saturday afternoon. In his seven games, so far, this term, he has reached for 25 yellow cards, but has yet to produce a red.

The Championship official last refereed a Charlton fixture in February 2020 - an injury-time 1-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.

He will be assisted by Philip Dermott and Shaun Hudson, with Elliott Swallow as the Fourth Official.

COLOURS

The Addicks will be donning their black third strip for the second time this season at Highbury Stadium.
