LOAN WATCH | Gavin scores stunner to win Essex Senior Cup

Nine Addicks have been in action for their respective loan clubs over the last week, with Dylan Gavin lifting silverware for Billericay Town.

The Irishman has been enjoying a fruitful spell with the Blues and was the hero at the JobServe Community Stadium on Tuesday evening as his stunning 35-yard volley was the only goal of the game as his side beat Bowers & Pitsea 1-0 in the Essex Senior Cup final.

Gavin was also involved in a game which saw three loan Addicks take to the field three days earlier as Billericay headed to Hampton & Richmond Borough in league action. This time, it was another Charlton man who hit the headlines with Wassim Aoucharia opening the scoring for the hosts early on, before the striker won a penalty before the break to help his side double the lead, while Lucas Ness marshalled the defence to keep his Addicks teammate Gavin quiet.

Elsewhere on Saturday, James Vennings completed 90 minutes as Bromley fell to a 2-0 defeat at home to Dagenham & Redbridge, while Aaron Henry and Charles Clayden also played all 90 minutes as Wealdstone were beaten 2-1 at home to Chesterfield.

Meanwhile, Hady Ghandour helped Maidstone United to a 2-1 win at Chippenham Town as a late substitute, while John Powell was an unused sub.

In EFL action, Charlie Kirk played 71 minutes of Blackpool's 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park, while Josh Davison played all 90 minutes of Swindon Town's 1-0 defeat at home to Newport County.

Finally, Ashley Maynard-Brewer continues to be ruled out of action for Ross County with a shoulder injury, while Ben Dempsey is also sidelined with injury at Ayr United.
