Charlton receive Regional Talent Club recognition

Charlton's Regional Talent Club (RTC) has received a rating of "exceeding licence criteria" in a recent report conducted by the FA.

A RTC is an enhanced coaching centre for U12, U14 and U16 age groups primarily, and allows players identified as having elite potential the opportunity to access elite levels of coaching and support.

Charlton's RTC operates from the club's Sparrows Lane training ground.

The report also referenced that Charlton had been ‘exceeding’ in all six key elements. The rating showcases the great dedication and commitment that the club are implementing within the RTC, which has already seen great success in the past season.

RTC manager Sue Prior said: “We are delighted to receive this recognition of excellence. It's been a real team effort and my thanks goes to all the staff, players and parents who have played their part in this achievement."

It was a successful season for the RTC with Charlton's U16 team finished third in the FA Girls England Talent Pathway League South behind champions Arsenal and FA Youth Cup winners Chelsea.
