Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) are delighted to offer a range of football programmes for young people in 2026, with something for everyone. CACT’s sessions cater for both boys and girls aged 3 to 16, ensuring there are opportunities for all to get involved.
CACT’s Charlton Challenge football sessions run across various locations in south-east London and Kent, with weekly sessions for children aged 2-3, 4-5 and 6-8. These weekly sessions, overseen by FA and UEFA qualified coaches, are designed to help young footballers reach their full potential. Each course focuses on the game’s four essential skills: dribbling, passing, control and shooting, while also improving coordination, balance, fitness and social skills. Meanwhile, our Player Development Centre caters for players aged 9-16. This course offers age-specific coaching from FA and UEFA licensed coaches across different locations for players based in south-east London and Kent. All participants will work to a specialised Charlton Athletic Academy-designed curriculum, focused on enhancing technical, tactical, physical and social abilities for those looking to improve their 7-a-side, 9-a-side and 11-a-side performance. CACT also offers a comprehensive girls-only football programme, with weekly age-specific sessions for girls aged 3-16 across south-east London and Kent, led by our FA and UEFA qualified coaches. Wildcat sessions (ages 3-11) are perfect for beginners, offering a fun, non-competitive environment with peers, while Squad Girls sessions (ages 12-16) focus on developing football skills in a structured, progressive way. For experienced players, the Girls Development Centre (U12-U16) follows a Charlton Athletic Academy-designed curriculum to enhance technical, tactical and physical skills for 11-a-side football.
