Charlton travel to Gillingham in the Emirates FA Cup second round on Saturday.

The Addicks head to Priestfield Stadium on the back of a 2-1 triumph against Cheltenham Town on Tuesday, with Alfie May converting two penalties against his former side.

TEAM NEWS

Michael Appleton confirmed Miles Leaburn (hamstring) has undergone a scan and the club are awaiting the full report to determine the extent of the injury he suffered in midweek.

The Addicks remain without Harry Isted (knee), Terry Taylor (ankle), Panutche Camará (hamstring) and Chuks Aneke (hamstring).

Robbie McKenzie and Oli Hawkins could both return for the hosts on Saturday.

THE OPPOSITION

Gillingham, who currently occupy Sky Bet League Two's final play-off spot, claimed a 1-0 win at home to AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday.

Stephen Clemence's side booked their place in round two of the Emirates FA Cup with a 2-0 success at Hereford. Jayden Clarke opened the scoring midway through the first half and Tom Nichols converted a penalty two minutes from time.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Charlton and Gillingham have gone toe-to-toe on 39 previous occasions with the Addicks winning 18, Gills seven and the remaining 14 games producing draws.

The last competitive meeting between the two teams came at The Valley in August 2022, when a youthful Charlton side ran out 3-0 victors in the EFL Trophy.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Sunny Singh Gill will oversee proceedings on Saturday. The official has refereed 19 matches so far this season, showing 79 yellow cards and three red cards.

Singh Gill will be assisted by Kevin Howick and Michael Webb, while Steven Hughes is the Fourth Official.

COLOURS

The Addicks will be wearing their black away kit in Kent.
