The Sky Bet League One play-off trophy has been visiting primary schools across Greenwich as part of Charlton Athletic's Schools Partnership Trophy Tour.

The Schools Partnership Scheme was re-launched across the borough at the end of last year. Since then, the 46 participating schools have enjoyed access to player appearances, the opportunity to take part in the Schools Partnership Tournament at The Valley and discounted match tickets for selected games - with every penny from those ticket sales going directly back to the schools.

As part of the trophy tour, the club’s Supporter Liaison Officer Isabelle Rogerson visited Discovery Primary School in Thamesmead earlier this month. Teacher and Charlton fan Billy Mills said: "Charlton have come in with the trophy which has caused mass excitement amongst the children. They loved it, they were just so excited, everybody wanted to touch the trophy and everyone wanted to have their photo taken with it! I’ve been going on about it since the win, so it was an opportunity for me to show off as well!

"Coming in and being spoken to by somebody from the club and being given so much information, and getting the opportunities to ask so many questions, they were able to get more information. I feel like now, they’re going to come in and enjoy watching the football."
