Alex Mitchell completed his move from Millwall to Charlton on Monday afternoon.
The 22-year-old centre-back, who was a key part of a Lincoln City side that had the second-best defence in Sky Bet League One last season, has penned a three-year contract to become the Addicks' fourth summer signing.
