GUIDE TO THE GAME | Watford

'

Sky Bet Championship football returns to The Valley on Saturday as the Addicks take on Watford (KO 12.30pm BST).

Nathan Jones' side will be backed by the highest attended home opener at The Valley in at least 17 years, with the attendance to pass the 21,675 people that attended Charlton’s home opener in 2008/09. Don't miss out! Click here to purchase your tickets now!

Given the bumper crowd expected, fans are advised to arrive early to avoid queues.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of this weekend's season-opener…

Enjoy the revamped Fan Zone!

There has been plenty of work carried out in SE7 over the summer, including a complete overhaul of the popular Fan Zone, located in the West Stand Car Park.

Inside, find a variety of food and drink vendors, fit for all, including a brand-new pizza stall!

The Fan Zone, the Meantime Fans’ Bar and Bartram’s will all be opening their doors from 10am and will be open for one hour post-game.

Please note that a home match ticket must be shown upon entry to the Fan Zone.

Get kitted out with 2025/26 Reebok gear!

There are plenty of products available in The Valley Charlton Superstore this weekend, including all three of the Addicks' 2025/26 Reebok kits.

The latter of the three was announced earlier this week and, like the home and away kit, is selling quickly, so make sure you secure yours!

Minute's applause ahead of kick-off

The club will remember Pierre Bolangi, Ethan Ade-Oduwale and Jorge Costa with a minute's applause ahead of this weekend's clash.

Saturday marks the 25th anniversary since the tragic passing of Pierre Bolangi, a Charlton academy player who died at the age of 17 in 2000. The club have been working with Pierre’s family to celebrate him and help create a legacy through the work the family are doing through 3P3 The Legacy, a community interest company. 3P3 The Legacy will be in Valley Central from 10am on Saturday for supporters who want to find out more. Ethan Ade-Oduwale, a cherished member of the club’s U10s, passed away at the end of July. A fundraising page has been set up for Charlton fans to support Ethan’s family at this devastating time. Please click here to visit the page.

Former Charlton fan favourite Jorge Costa passed away on Tuesday at the age of 53. Read Alan Curbishley’s tribute to Costa by clicking here.

Fans are advised that the below roads around the ground will be closed from 11.45am until just after kick-off on Saturday:
