Addicks fans can now vote for their 2026 men’s and women’s Hall of Fame inductees.
Three men's players from three eras - pre-1955, 1956-1990 and 1991 to date - will be inducted and listed on the Hall of Fame board in the Charlton Athletic Museum, along with the club's third-ever women's entrant.
This year’s contenders are…
Men's Hall of Fame
PRE-1955
George armitage (1924-30)
Appearances: 184 matches
Goals: 4
An England international centre-half. (One full cap and five amateur caps) George played as an amateur for Charlton for five seasons and captained the 1928/29 team who were champions of Division 3 (South) – Charlton’s first promotion as a Football League club.
Billy Kiernan (1949-60)
Appearances: 401
Goals: 93
One of only eight Charlton players to have played more than 400 games for the club, Billy was a top class forward with an eye for goal.
An England B international and a one-club man, nearly 300 of his appearances were made in the old First Division.
Jack Shreeve (1936-50)
Appearances: 166
A popular full-back, Jack was one of only two players to feature in all four of Charlton’s Wembley Cup finals, including the two War Cup finals during World War Two. He was a loyal servant to the club who remained at The Valley long after his playing days were over, finishing up as first-team trainer.
1956-1990
Les Berry (1975-86)
Appearances: 396
Goals: 11
Charlton’s Player of the Year in 1980, Les gave tremendous service to the club, making nearly 400 appearances and was centre-half throughout the promotion season of 1980/81. A tough competitor who would never shirk a tackle, he was ever present in 1979/80 and 1983/84.
Bob Bolder (1986-93)
296 matches
A larger than life character and a very fine goalkeeper, Bob was Player of the Year in 1987 and was Charlton’s first choice between the sticks for seven seasons. Reliable and brave, he was a fan’s favourite, and has since worked tirelessly for the Community Trust.
John Humphrey (1985-96)
Appearances: 267
Goals: 4 goals
Three times Player of the Year, John was a technically perfect full-back who was one of the 1985-86 promotion team that brought top division football back to Charlton and then kept the club alive during the exile years. Another Addick who should have been capped by England.
1991-to date
Michael Morrison (2011-14)
Appearances: 150
Goals: 8
A big-hearted defender who was one of the 2011/12 promotion team which finished as champions of League One, conceding only 36 goals in the 46-match season. Michael only missed four league matches during his three years at Charlton and was a solid and reliable presence throughout.
Chris Solly (2009-20)
Appearances: 314
Goals: 3
Player of the Year in both 2012 and 2013, Chris was a cultured defender whose career would have taken him to the very top but for a persistent knee injury. He played in the two promotion sides of 2011/12 and 2019/20, and is now back at Charlton on the academy coaching staff.
Luke Young (2001-07)
Appearances: 208
Goals: 8
An international defender who played a record seven times for England while a Charlton player. Luke played six seasons in the Premier League for the Addicks and was voted as the club’s Player of the Year in 2005. An energetic and dependable full back who played the vast majority of his career in the Premier League.
