Dean Holden wants to see his side replicate their away form at The Valley ahead of Saturday's match against Wycombe Wanderers.
The Addicks come into this weekend's contest on the back of successive wins on the road at Morecambe and Cambridge United.
“It’s a big game against Wycombe at the weekend," said the manager. "We’ve got two games on the spin at The Valley and we’ve not picked up enough results at home this season for many different reasons. We need to improve our home form.
“Certainly on the back of two away wins the away form is really strong at the moment, but we need to improve the home form and Wycombe is going to be a tough game for us.
"Obviously they’ve had a change of manager with Matt [Bloomfield], who hasn’t been in the job too long but they’re playing, as you'd expect, a similar style that they were under Gareth.
“It will be a really physical game in terms of them playing quite direct," he continued. "We've got to make sure we’re good in the aerial duels and with first and second contacts. Again, we've got exciting players in the forward areas that can hurt any team in this division.”
Ahead of back-to-back home games against Wycombe and Shrewsbury Town, Holden is keen to improve his side's record at The Valley.
He said: “The fans deserve it, don’t they. I said before that the home record has not been great this season and it's something we need to certainly put right from now until the end of the season and obviously moving into next season.
“Every game at The Valley is always an exciting one for me. It's a great passion of mine to lead the team out at The Valley and I’m looking forward to the game at the weekend.”
