• Dykes earns 50th cap for Scotland
• Campbell, Bell and Anderson's Jamaica see their World Cup dreams end in extra-time
• Kanu nets first goal for Sierra Leone
Lyndon Dykes became just the second Addicks player to earn a Scotland cap at senior level as five men's first-team players represented their countries during the recent international break.
The striker played 63 minutes of the Tartan Army's 1-0 defeat to Japan at Hampden Park on Saturday joining John Hewie, who made his international bow in 1956, as the only two Charlton players to have played for Scotland.
Dykes also featured off the bench in the 77th minute as Scotland suffered a 1-0 defeat to Ivory Coast to earn his 50th cap for his country at Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, Tyreece Campbell, Amari'i Bell and Karoy Anderson all featured as Jamaica suffered heartbreak in their quest to qualify for this summer's World Cup.
All three played their part in the Reggae Boyz's 1-0 win over New Caledonia in their FIFA World Cup qualifying play-off semi-final clash in the early hours of Friday morning.
Campbell and Anderson both featured from the off, with Anderson completing the full 90 minutes and Campbell making way in the 68th minute, while Bell came off the bench in the 84th minute to help see the game out.
The victory set up a play-off final meeting with DR Congo in Guadalajara on Tuesday night with Jamaica fighting to reach the World Cup finals for just the second time in their history - and first since 1998.
Campbell completed 74 minutes of what was a cagey affair, before Bell emerged as a substitute in the 90th minute, while Anderson did not make the matchday squad.
After a goalless 90 minutes, the tie headed into extra-time, before Burnley's Axel Tuanzebe broke the deadlock with the only goal of the game in the 100th minute to break Jamaican hearts and claim a place in this summer's tournament for his country.
Elsewhere on the intenational scene, Daniel Kanu scored his first goal on the international stage for Sierra Leone in their FIFA Series clash with Azerbaijan, opening the scoring in a 1-1 draw on Monday, before being subbed off in the 74th minute with his side still in the lead. Azerbaijan went onto secure victory via a penalty shootout.
