Jones relishing Ipswich Town test

Nathan Jones is relishing the test that awaits his side when second-placed Ipswich Town visit The Valley on Wednesday.

The Addicks scored three goals in 12 second-half minutes at Portman Road to claim an impressive victory in the reverse fixture.

"We were obviously pleased with the result and the performance on the day - it's a very tough place to go," explained the gaffer. "For me, they're one of the two or three best teams in the league, hence their league position.

"It'll be a fresh game and it's obviously at The Valley so we're happy about that. It's a game we're looking forward to. Testing yourselves against these teams is what we wanted to do. We know it's going to be a very difficult game, but what a lovely game underneath the lights at The Valley."

Reece Burke and Collins Sichenje both made their returns from injury last weekeend, while Kayne Ramsay missed out with a hamstring issue.

"They've both come back in and it's timely really with us losing Kayne [Ramsay] and obviously Harry Clarke not being available [to face his parent club]," said Jones. "It's good to have Collins and Burkey back.

"We're taking it day-by-day with Kayne," he added. "Obviously we'd give it a little bit more time, but with there only being three games left we'll take more risks than we probably need to to get him back."
