Nathan Jones is expecting another difficult test when his side take on Wrexham at the STōK Cae Ras on Saturday (KO 3pm GMT).
The Addicks are unbeaten in their last five Sky Bet Championship outings and Jones is pleased with what he has seen from his side, especially after the last-minute win over West Bromwich Albion in midweek.
"[Tuesday night showed that you have to keep going and we made positive changes to change the game - we weren’t content with a point,’ he explained. "We’re disappointed when we don’t win in the Championship and that's the level we're at.
"We want to create a winning environment at the football club. We've had to contend with injuries and reshuffle the pack and when you lose two of your main defenders, not everyone can cope with that. To take four points over two games in the Championship based on that is a wonderful thing."
The gaffer believes the international break will come at a good time for some of the players who are currently on the sidelines.
"The international break gives players a bit of respite, and us time to get work into some of them, and recovery into others."
Previewing the trip to North Wales, Jones expects another challenge. The gaffer said: "We know how they play, they know how we play. We had two very tough fixtures against them last year. It doesn’t matter where you go in the Championship, every single game is tough."
