AFC WIMBLEDON V CHARLTON

TEAM NEWS

Karen Hills’ Addicks will look to stretch their unbeaten run to seven as they take the short trip across the capital to face AFC Wimbledon in the Vitality Women's FA Cup fourth-round at Carshalton Athletic FC on Sunday, January 29th KO 3 PM.

Charlton secured up their sixth consecutive victory two weeks ago after recording a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in the Continental Cup. It was Emma Follis who gave the Addicks the lead in the 75th minute and U21 player Taylor Bell secured her first senior goal to secure the victory.

The Addicks' two most recent Championship meetings against Blackburn Rovers and Lewes were postponed due to waterlogged and frozen pitches.

Charlton made it to the fifth round of the competition last season eventually bowing out 2-0 to WSL side Everton.

THE OPPOSITION

Kevin Foster’s side welcomes Charlton to Carshalton Athletic FC this Sunday on an unbeaten five-game run in the South-East Division One table.

The Dons were last in action on Sunday drawing 1-1 against Norwich City an impressive header from Hannah Billingham gave The Dons the advantage going into the break, but the Canaries' Natasha Snellings equalised late on meaning the points were shared.

The Dons secured their place in the fourth round after a 1-0 victory against Gillingham with Ellie Dorey securing the victory in the 66th minute.
