THE OPPOSITION

Daren Carter's side heads into Sunday's proceedings off the back of a 2-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers last weekend.  Birmingham came from behind to clinch the victory thanks to goals from Siobhan Wilson and Lucy Quinn.

City's recent impressive run of three wins recorded from a possible four from across all competitions sees them sit 4th in the Championship standings, level on points with Charlton and one point afar from Southampton who sit in 3rd.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The last matchup between these two sides was in the fifth round of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup a fortnight ago.

After an evenly contested 90 minutes between the two sides, the tie headed into extra time and Ashley Hodson’s 101-minute goal sent Birmingham into the quarter-finals of the competition.

The last Championship match between them was back in September 2022, which saw Charlton record all three points in a comfortable 3-0 victory, after Ella Rutherford and Angela Addison’s first-half goals and City’s goalkeeper Lucy Thomas’ own goal saw Charlton take the win in SE7.
