THE OPPOSITION

Burton currently sit bottom of the Sky Bet League One table having taken 12 points from their 17 league outings to date.

The Brewers head into Saturday’s clash on the back of a 2-0 triumph over Southern League Premier Central Division side Needham Market in the Emirates FA Cup first round. That result was preceded by back-to-back away defeats at Bolton Wanderers and Sheffield Wednesday respectively.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Charlton and Burton have gone toe-to-toe on seven previous occasions, with the Addicks winning five and the Brewers two.

The last meeting between the two sides resulted in a 2-0 victory for the Addicks at The Valley, with Conor Washington and Corey Blackett-Taylor both on the scoresheet.

Charlton’s last trip to the Pirelli Stadium, meanwhile, produced a 1-0 win thanks to Ben Purrington’s first-half strike.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Finnie will be assisted by Richard Woodward and Mark Jones, while Declan Ford is the Fourth Official.
