TEAM NEWS

Speaking in his pre-game press conference, Nathan Jones said Rarmani Edmonds-Green, who was absent from his matchday 18 in midweek, has been 'playing through a slight stiffness in his Achilles that’s curtailed stuff.'

Miles Leaburn (hamstring) remains unavailable for the Addicks.

Ryan Bennett, who was forced off last weekend, is available for the hosts, though Jack Stevens (hamstring), Michael Morrison (knee), Harrison Dunk (knee), Brandon Haunstrup (calf), Saikou Janneh (knee), George Thomas (knee), Glenn McConnell (ankle) and Lyle Taylor (groin) are all sidelined.

THE OPPOSITION

Cambridge currently sit 19th in the Sky Bet League One table having taken 45 points from their 41 fixtures to date.

Garry Monk's men come into this weekend's clash on the back of a 1-0 defeat at Blackpool last time out. That was preceded by back-to-back wins against Barnsley and Wigan.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Charlton and Cambridge have gone toe-to-toe on 23 previous occasions with the Addicks winning eight, the U's seven and the remaining eight meetings ending in draws.

Alfie May and Chem Campbell were both on the scoresheet at The Valley in the reverse fixture in December 2023, but Gassan Ahadme bagged a late brace to earn Cambridge a 2-2 draw.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Darren Drysdale will control proceedings this weekend. The referee has officiated 32 matches this season and has shown 118 yellow cards and five red cards.

Drysdale will be assisted by Daniel Cook and Stephen Finch, while Andrew Aylott has been appointed as the Fourth Official.
