TEAM NEWS

Appleton confirmed in his press conference that top scorer Alfie May (concussion) is available, though Terry Taylor (head) is a doubt having been forced off late on at Stevenage last time out.

Nathan Asiimwe (quad), Conor McGrandles (knee), Panutche Camará (foot) and Scott Fraser (calf) are all expected to miss out.

Ryan Tafazolli (hamstring) could return to the visitors' squad, but captain Joe Jacobson, Jack Grimmer and Jason McCarthy are all long-term absentees.

THE OPPOSITION

Wycombe head to SE7 enjoying a five-match unbeaten run in League One, four of which have been victories.

That run leaves Matt Bloomfield's side sat ninth in the Sky Bet League One table, level on points with sixth-placed Barnsley.

The Chairboys secured a 2-0 win against Blackpool at Adams Park last weekend thanks to goals from Sam Vokes and former Addick Brandon Hanlan.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Charlton and Wycombe have locked horns on 11 previous occasions with the Addicks winning six, the Chairboys three and the remaining two encounters resulting in draws.

The last meeting between the two sides came at The Valley in March 2023, when Chris Forino's late header cancelled out Miles Leaburn's opener in a 1-1 draw.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Ben Toner will take charge of proceedings this weekend. The official last refereed a Charlton fixture in December 2022 - a 3-1 defeat away at Oxford United.

Toner will be assisted by Hugh Gilroy and Shaun Farrer, while Stuart Butler is the Fourth Official.
