Nathan Jones’ side are back in action this Saturday with a trip to the John Smith’s Stadium to take on Huddersfield Town (KO 3pm GMT).

TEAM NEWS

Karoy Anderson (Jamaica), Kaheim Dixon (Jamaica), Conor Coventry (Republic of Ireland) and Thierry Small (England Elite League Squad) all returned from international duty unscathed. 

Will Mannion, Kayne Ramsay, Tennai Watson, Lloyd Jones, Dan Potts, Tyreece Campbell, Chuks Aneke and Daniel Kanu all missed the Addicks' last league game against Exeter City through injury. Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Nathan Jones said: "We are in a better position than we were two weeks ago before the Exeter game, but there are still some big players out."

Huddersfield skipper Jonathan Hogg could return for the hosts this weekend, though Lee Nicholls (shoulder), Lasse Sorensen (hamstring), Radinio Balker (ankle) and Joe Hodge (groin) are all sidelined.

THE OPPOSITION

The Terriers currently sit eighth in the Sky Bet League One rankings having picked up seven wins, two draws and five losses so far this season.

Michael Duff’s side secured qualification for the Vertu Trophy round of 32 with a 4-1 win against Manchester United's U21s last time out.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The two sides have gone toe-to-toe on 92 previous occasions with the Addicks winning 37, the Terriers 36 and the remaining 19 encounters resulting in draws.

Charlton's last trip to the John Smith’s Stadium resulted in defeat back in February 2020.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Simon Mather will oversee proceedings on Saturday afternoon.

Mather will be assisted by Thomas Hartey and Andrew Ellis, while Thomas Kirk is the Fourth Official.
