MATCH PREVIEW | Oxford United v Charlton

The Addicks are back on the road this Saturday, taking on Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium (KO 3pm BST).

With a defeat at home last Saturday against Port Vale, Dean Holden’s side will be hoping to turn their fortunes around as they take on an Oxford side sitting in fourth place in League One.

Chem Campbell signed for the Addicks on Wednesday on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers and has trained with his new teammates this week, so is likely to be available for selection on Saturday.

Dean Holden hinted last week that Panutche Camará (foot) could be in line for a return after missing Saturday's game against Port Vale. Richard Chin (groin), Scott Fraser (calf), Tyreece Campbell (ankle), Chuks Aneke (calf) and Miles Leaburn (ankle) are all likely to miss out.

Oxford United completed the signing of Greg Leigh from Ipswich Town on Thursday and the left-back could feature against the Addicks.

Marcus Browne picked up a hamstring injury in Oxford's win at the weekend and has been ruled out for several months. Jordan Thorniley (ankle) remains sidelined.

After a difficult campaign last year and a surprise loss to Cambridge United on the opening day, Liam Manning's side have won three in a row in the league.

A 1-0 home win over Carlisle United was followed by impressive away victories at Derby County and Barnsley.

Charlton and Oxford have clashed on 50 previous occasions with the Addicks winning 18, the U's 13 and the remaining 19 encounters ending in draws.

The last meeting between the two sides came at the Kassam Stadium in December 2022 and saw the hosts run out 3-1 victors.

Adam Herczeg will control proceedings in Oxfordshire. The official last refereed a Charlton fixture in September 2022.

Herczeg will be assisted by Christopher Wade and Daniel Bonneywell, while Mark Derrien is the Fourth Official.

The Addicks will be donning their black away kit this weekend.

Tickets will be available to purchase on the day at the Kassam Stadium.
