TEAM NEWS

Holden confirmed in his pre-Plymouth press conference that Mandela Egbo (quad) is set to play for the U21s at Ipswich on Friday afternoon, while Steven Sessegnon and Scott Fraser will both be monitored having missed training on Thursday.

Todd Kane (hamstring) and Chuks Aneke (hamstring) are both unavailable for Saturday’s trip to Devon.

The hosts will be without long-term absentees Michael Cooper (knee), Dan Scarr (foot) and Conor Grant (thigh), while midfielder Adam Randell (ankle) will be assessed.

THE OPPOSITION

Plymouth currently sit second Sky Bet League One, three points behind league leaders Sheffield Wednesday and five points clear of third-placed Ipswich Town.

Steven Schumacher’s side will be looking to bounce back this weekend following a 5-2 reverse at Peterborough last Saturday.

Argyle boast the division’s best home record having remarkably won 14 of their 16 league games in Devon this term. Port Vale are the only side to have earned victory at Home Park in 2022/23, while Fleetwood Town recently claimed a hard-fought point.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Charlton and Plymouth have met on 76 previous occasions with the Addicks winning 32, Argyle 29 and the remaining 15 clashes resulting in draws.

The Addicks claimed a sensational 5-1 victory in the reverse fixture at The Valley in August 2022 – with Jes Rak-Sakyi, Jayden Stockley, Sean Clare, Charlie Kirk and Miles Leaburn all on the scoresheet.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Andy Davies will oversee proceedings on Saturday. The official last refereed a Charlton fixture in September 2021 – a 2-1 defeat against Cheltenham Town in SE7.

Davies will be assisted by Matthew Jones and Greg Read, while Carl Brook is the Fourth Official.

COLOURS

The Addicks will be sporting their home kit in Devon.
