MATCH PREVIEW | Preston North End v Charlton

'

The Addicks are back on the road again on Saturday as they travel to Deepdale to take on Preston North End in the Sky Bet Championship (KO 3pm BST).

Nathan Jones’ side are unbeaten in four successive league games and will be targeting another three points away from home this weekend.

TEAM NEWS

Jones provided an update on the fitness of Josh Edwards and new signing Onel Hernández in his pre-match press conference. The gaffer said: "Josh will probably be out a little bit longer than a few weeks, which is disappointing because he's been in wonderful form. Onel is in contention now and was on Tuesday night. He’s had another two days training and more integration with us, so he's ready to go."

Andrew Hughes is available again for the hosts following a one-match suspension, though Pol Valentín (hamstring), Brad Potts (hamstring), Jordan Thompson (ankle), Robbie Brady (calf) and Will Keane (calf) are all sidelined.

THE OPPOSITION

The Lilywhites currently sit seventh in the Sky Bet Championship table, having picked up 13 points from their opening eight games.

Paul Heckingbottom’s side head into the match on the back of a 2-2 draw at Hull City in midweek.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Charlton and Preston have gone toe-to-toe on 75 previous occasions, with the Addicks winning 24, the Lilywhites 37 and the remaining 14 games resulting in draws.

The two sides last met at Deepdale last season in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup, when Preston were 2-1 victors thanks to a Milutin Osmajić double.

Linington will be assisted by James Wilson and Conor Brown, while Scott Oldham will be the fourth official.
