MATCH PREVIEW | Sheffield United v Charlton

'

The Addicks are back on the road on Saturday, travelling to Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United (KO 3pm BST).

The Blades reappointed Chris Wilder on Monday for this third spell in charge of the club following the dismissal of Rubén Sellés.

TEAM NEWS

Asked for the latest team news, Nathan Jones said: "[Luke] Berry’s the closest, then [Will] Mannion and then probably [Matty] Godden but we’re talking minimal time between the three. Hopefully we can start getting them back out. Apart from that we’re in real good shape."

The Blades will be without Jamie Shackleton, Oliver Arblaster, Tom Davies and Danny Ings this weekend, Wilder confirmed.

THE OPPOSITION

Sheffield United currently sit bottom of the Sky Bet Championship table having suffered defeats in all five of their opening fixtures to date.

The Blades were condemned to a 5-0 defeat at Ipswich Town in their last outing, prompting Wilder's return to his boyhood club.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Charlton and Sheffield United have clashed on 68 previous occasions with the Addicks winning 21, the Blades 29 and the remaining 18 fixtures resulting in draws.

The last meeting between the two sides came at Bramall Lane in March 2017, when the hosts came from behind to claim a 2-1 victory.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Ben Toner will be the man in the middle this weekend.

Toner will be assisted by Conor Brown and Sam Lewis, while Elliot Bell is the Fourth Official.

COLOURS

The Addicks will be wearing their white and blue away kit in the Steel City.
