New arrival Tom McIntyre is itching to get going after sealing a deadline day move to Charlton.
The 26-year-old defender joins the Addicks on loan from Sky Bet Championship outfit Portsmouth to become the Addicks' second signing of the January window.
"It’s a brilliant feeling," McIntyre smiled. "It’s been a late one, one that was really appealing to me. As soon as I heard that there was interest from Charlton, I was really excited to get it done.
"My conversations with the gaffer have been top," he added. "I’ve had two conversations now and it’s only been today that things have come round. Great first impressions and hopefully I can also make my impressions as well."
Touching on what he believes he can bring to the side, McIntyre claimed: "I’m comfortable on the ball - I love having the ball at my feet. I'm committed and I love a tackle. I’ll always give 100%."
The versatile left-footer is relishing the chance to step out on to the pitch at The Valley in a Charlton shirt.
"I actually played at The Valley in Covid, so frustratingly there were no fans," explained the Scotland youth international. "It’s a brilliant stadium and I can’t wait to see what it's like with a packed-out crowd."
McIntyre could make his Charlton debut on Saturday when Stevenage visit The Valley. Click here to purchase your tickets now!
