Schools Partnership children enjoy exclusive tour of The Valley

As part of being signed up to the club's Schools Partnership Scheme, primary schools in the Greenwich Borough have access to exclusive tours of The Valley.

The club were pleased to welcome Eltham Church of England Primary School to SE7 on Monday, with CharltonTV's Terry Smith hosting the tour to give the pupils a behind the scenes glimpse into what goes on at The Valley to inspire a future generation of Addicks supporters.

Take a look at what they got up to below...

"Charlton Athletic invite, every Monday, primary schools from around the local area to have a look around The Valley," Smith explained.

"We give them a look around the changing rooms, a look around the ground, pitchside and then the dugouts, just to give them a flavour of what Charlton is and what Charlton's history is."

"It's about learning, it's about teaching the children that Charlton is on their doorstep, it's on their doorstep and it's hopefully encouraging them to want to come back in whatever capacity they want to."

Hannah Feeney, Year Five teacher at Eltham Church of England, added: "Miles Leaburn actually went to our children's school so they're huge fans of him and they met him recently. They've been really inspired!"

Schools Partnership Scheme tours will continue throughout the course of the season. To find out how your primary school can get involved, please email schoolspartnership@cafc.co.uk.
